WHY MEDIATION
• Mediation is always voluntary for the parties and they can at any time leave the negotiations.
• In mediation confidentiality is respected.
Mediator is neutral and impartial
• Mediator presides over the negotiations.

ADVANTAGES OF MEDIATION
º It is voluntary;
º Joint decisions are made on issues relating to :
º the children;
º custody and access;
º finances ;
º Expensive litigation is avoided
º The emotional stress of divorce is minimized
º Conflict is reduced by parties working together

Mediation is at least 50% to 65% less expensive than litigation
At the end of the mediation process I will provide the parties with a Settlement Agreement or Memorandum of Understanding.
This document details all the points of agreement reached during the mediation process.

I then discuss the alternative options available to conclude the divorce.
